    /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park (ARTP)

The ǀAi-ǀAis/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park is a peace park straddling the border between South Africa and Namibia. It was formed in 2003 by combining the Namibian ǀAi-ǀAis Hot Springs Game Park and the South African Richtersveld National Park. Most of the South African part of the park forms part of the buffer zone of the Richtersveld Cultural and Botanical Landscape World Heritage Site, which measures 5,920 square kilometres (2,290 sq mi).

    Augrabies Falls National Park

Augrabies Falls National Park is a national park located around the Augrabies Falls, about 120 km (75 mi) west of Upington in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa. The Augrabies Falls National Park covers an area of 820 km2 (320 sq mi) and stretches along the Orange River. The area is very arid.

    Kalahari Gemsbok National Park

The gemsbok (Oryx gazella), or South African oryx, is a large antelope in the genus Oryx. It is endemic to the dry and barren regions of Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and (parts of) Zimbabwe, mainly inhabiting the Kalahari and Namib Deserts, areas in which it is supremely adapted for survival. Previously, some sources classified the related East African oryx, or beisa oryx (Oryx beisa), as a subspecies.

    Karoo National Park

Showcasing the unique semi-desert landscape of the Karoo, this park is home to a variety of adapted wildlife, including black rhino, Cape mountain zebra, and numerous antelope species. It offers a different kind of safari, focusing on arid-zone biodiversity and stunning scenery.

    Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Spanning South Africa and Botswana, this vast desert wilderness is famous for its red dunes, black-maned lions, and excellent predator sightings. It offers a remote and rugged safari experience, ideal for self-drive adventurers seeking unique desert wildlife.

    Mokala National Park

Located in the Northern Cape, Mokala is a relatively new park focused on the conservation of endangered species, including black and white rhino, roan, and tsessebe. It offers a tranquil and uncrowded safari experience in a unique thornveld landscape.
