Primarily tarmac road via Mombasa. We recommend breaking the journey in Mombasa itself to enjoy a night before continuing to your coastal lodge. Be prepared for heavy traffic closer to Mombasa.
From Mombasa
Depends on your final destination. Roads are generally good tarmac, though can be busy. We love the flexibility of driving yourself if you're comfortable with local traffic, but transfers are readily arranged.
