Driving Routes
From El Calafate
A scenic drive south on RN40, then RN3. The road is mostly paved and well maintained. We recommend stopping at roadside estancias for empanadas.
From Punta Arenas, Chile
Cross the Strait of Magellan via ferry (vehicles allowed). The route involves RN9 in Chile and RN3 in Argentina. Be prepared for border crossing procedures.
